If you didn't catch her single "Video Games" via YouTube whirlwind, then you probably did see her on SNL last month, a performance which many have dubbed the worst in SNL history (although I feel like people have been too quick to forget when Ashlee Simpson graced their stage...). Love her or hate her, you can't deny that the girl's got that retro style that's so popular right now. And we couldn't help but notice the resemblance between this rising star and one of the original supermodels, Jean Shrimpton.

With her famous pout and big blue eyes, she's channeling the Vogue model. And now, in a somewhat controversial move on the publication's part, Miss Del Rey is March's cover girl for British Vogue.

While she is undoubtedly easy on the eyes (and the ears, for that matter), the backlash stems from her hyper-speed rise to fame. While Vogue tends to reserve their cover for more established talent, who knows? Maybe Lana will end up being a repeat cover girl, like her lookalike.

Take a peek behind-the-scenes of the shoot.

What do you think...does this star have staying power? Looks like Mulberry thinks so...check out their new "Del Rey" bag:

Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift mix soft, sweet vocals with an enticing array of different sounds to make for some catchy-but-unique songs. You may have heard their single "Bruises" a few years ago when Apple included the track in one of their famous iPod commercials. The two were also featured on tracks from some of our favorite artists, such as Washed Out and Holy Ghost!.

We love their latest disc, entitled Something, which is full of equally attractive tracks, such as "I Belong In Your Arms" and "Amanaemonesia."

As the official service dog in training of the Boston Red Sox, he’ll be visiting his namesake Fenway Park over the next year and a half.
As if on cue, the cover of Vanity Fair is emblazoned with starlets sporting their own finger waves.

Originating in the 20's and 30's, finger waves remain something that all hairdressers know how to do.... The tricky part is doing them well. So we practiced two ways of getting the look- Wet and dry.

Sophia was subjected to the curling iron set on dry hair:

We had fun practicing on Timmy (over and over) for the wet version:

We also had a little west coast/ east coast competition on who can do them better. Obviously Sophia and I won- Californians aren't messing around when it comes to finger waves. Clearly we wore Shannon out.

Even thou I dont listen to nor recognize half of the acts nominated. But how could you not of turned in. I had to watch my girl Adele perform, and I had to pay tribute to Whitney. Many memories of my gay youth were set to her music.

And it seems many of stars were also honoring idols both past and present.

Adele, are words really necesary. That voice, the newly golden locks. You are truly a class-act pure glamour, Ann - Margaret doesn't hold a candle to you. But she does have a character (Ann Margrock) named after her on the flintstones.

Yes, the Grammys did not dissapoint. Nicki Minaj stills tries to be outspoken but is acually laughed at. Gaga walked out before the show was over after losing all to Adele (sore loser). And Fergie forgot when you wear a fishnet dress couture or not leave the spanks at home.

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia rock band Little Red brings us some catchy tunes from down under.

Claiming influences like John Lee Hooker and The Kinks, their style ranges from a 50's rock sound to a synth-rock similar to the likes of Phoenix. Though they are well-known in their hemisphere, they seem to be a hidden gem in the US for now.

TomKat. Brangelina.

Power-couples have been sporting these nicknames for years to represent their relationship as an entity unto itself. So, I thought...why not have one for a power-hairstyle?

Introducing...the Bar-dele. This voluminous bump was all the rage in the Bardot-era, and is making its presence known once again as Adele's signature hairstyle.

Popping up in the pages of magazines everywhere, this style has fallen into favor with a new generation, while still keeping its classic appeal.

So, how can you tame that hair into your own towering Bar-dele? (No, don't reach for a Bump-It.)

1. Prep second-day hair with some dry shampoo to give your roots some lift and strands some texture.

2. Grab hair at the crown of the head and section off a small top layer.

3. Using a boar bristle brush, tease this section.

4. Section by section, work your way from the crown to the back of the head teasing each section and spritzing with hairspray.

5. Use the boar bristle brush to smooth the top layer and set the "bump" with a strong hold hairspray.

Now, pair with some cat-eye liner, and you've got yourself a Bar-dele.

I love food. In California it wasn't called being a foodie, it was more about recognizing really great talent. Someone that shops locally, works miracles with what they've got, and doesn't brag about it is my kind of chef . In Boston, it's certainly a little trickier finding great, understated places. However, I have been here long enough now to have some favorites.

When I talk with clients about food, one of my standard go-to places in the South End is The Gallows.

It's a small, quirky space encased in warm planked wood and unique decor. Upon entry you're greeted by the smell of awesome food and very crowded bar. Thursday through Saturday this place is super busy and loud, but still with a cool laid back vibe. I love it when I can pop in there on an off night when it's a little more mellow and I can relish in the great cookin'.

I warn you: this is no place for a diet. Although the menu changes frequently, you can always count on ultra rich comfort food. Boards of meats and cheese, gravy soaked poutine, and big ass cans of beer. White Trash made cool.

As a bonus, they have one of the most well informed and passionate staff around. They all clearly love the place, love the food, and they just get it.

I have honestly had some of my favorite Boston meals here. Back in summer I had a burger topped with lobster meat... I still have fantasies about it. More recently, there was the Venison Tourtière which was so amazingly flavorful I have wanted to try to replicate it at home.

Now I just need to get my mitts on some deer... Come here, Bambi...

Could of been Karls muse for his latest Macy's collection.

At first glance you might think Sears husky. Really is more comfortable in Lacoste.

We're keeping warm this week with Tanlines and their first full-length album Mixed Emotions, due out March 20th. These Brooklynites have a way of mixing a variety of influences into their indie pop tracks, such as the Carribean-beat sound on their 2010 track "Real Life."

We love their first single off the new album, entitled "Brothers," which shows how much the duo has grown since their previous releases and gives us a little insight into where they are now.

You can check it out on our February Playlist.
